“I cannot always control what goes on outside. But I can always control what goes on inside.” Wayne Dyer.
I love the thought that although I cannot control others; I can always control myself. The way that I respond to someone else, to a situation, to conflict, to success – is all up to me.
This is a wonderful realization to have for many of us, because a lot of time people tend to want to react from their emotions. Emotions are great at letting us know how we feel, but they’re not always the answer. A lot of times responding from an emotional place ends up badly because feelings can blind our perspective/objective view.
So always try and remember – you cannot control anyone, but you can always control yourself!
